A Monthly Message to our wonderful FCR supporters!

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”  Phil. 3:14

Dear Friends of Christian Radio,

            You are in a race, making progress but not there yet.  What do you do?  Keep pressing on and keep your eye on the goal!  That was our focus during Sharathon 2008 as we moved forward Pressing On In Jesus’ Name.  It was a great two days. 1) We had Sharathon with service in mind – to proclaim the Good News until He returns, even as KGLE has done for the past 46+ years.  2) We had confidence that the Lord would provide for the needs of KGLE because He is always faithful. 3) We knew that our Good Friends of Christian Radio would respond enthusiastically and generously, and we were not disappointed.  We ended Sharathon on Friday evening with $85,153.00, which was very comparable to past years, and we are already well beyond that amount as we press on towards the goal of $120,000.00.  Praise God for His Goodness and thanks so much for your part in keeping this ministry going strong for the glory of our wonderful God.

            It seems that a good number of verses that speak about perseverance, diligence, faithfulness and pressing on in our walk with the Lord are connected with the return of Christ.  (For example Phil 3:14-20; Heb. 10:19-25; Heb. 10:36-39; Jude 17-25; Matt. 16:24-27.)  So as the goal of the “prize for which God has called (us) heavenward in Christ Jesus” comes more clearly in view, and the signs of Christ’s return seem to dominate the news and our thinking, let’s keep as our determination our motto and keep Pressing On In Jesus’ Name.  May the Lord bless and encourage you in the Race!
